Future Planning

The Government will invest $500 million over 10 years in an Australian Genomics Mission to help save or transform the lives of more than 200,000 Australians through research into better testing, diagnosis and treatment.

Facilitating integration of genomics into healthcare through sharing of experiences and information on policy approaches. 

The first National Health Genomics Policy Framework 2018-2021 was agreed by the COAG Health Council on 3 November 2017.

  • The GA4GH 2018 Strategic Roadmap

    The GA4GH Strategic Roadmap presents standards and frameworks planned for development under  GA4GH Connect — a 5 year Strategic Plan aimed at aligning with the key needs of the genomic data community.
